Emily Cummings is a Brooklyn-based actor and writer hailing from small-town California, where she discovered a love for theater by performing Chekhov and Shakespeare on the porch of a barn. That love led her to her BA in Theater and Linguistics at Pomona College, at the end of which she studied with the British American Drama Academy in the fall of 2023, where she played the title role in Ben Johnson's Volpone.
After college, she joined Marin Shakespeare Company in its 2024 summer production of The Comedy of Errors. Emily is currently working on Dog Sees God as CB’s Sister with brooklynONE productions. Previous roles include Sharon in Michael Eichler’s SIXTY NINE SEVENTY with NY Theater Festival, Masha in Chekhov's Three Sisters, June in Emma Gibson's If nobody does remarkable things, Sir Andrew in The Twelfth Night, and Fredrika Armfeldt in Ensemble Theater Company's A Little Night Music, among others.
Emily is currently a freelance actor but is open to representation.
